The Women's Centers: Philadelphia Women's Center (PWC)
Philadelphia Women’s Center (PWC) is conveniently located in Center City Philadelphia, and is a state-licensed Ambulatory Surgical Facility (ASF) that provides medication abortion care up to 11.6 weeks and procedural abortion care up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. When you visit the Center you will find a warm, friendly and inviting space that allows patients the freedom to make thoughtful pregnancy decisions surrounded by staff who respect their choices.
In 1972, PWC proudly opened as the first outpatient abortion provider in Pennsylvania. For over 50 years, PWC has continually met the needs of our community by providing professional, confidential and compassionate abortion care.
Our team of multilingual patient advocates provides caring and professional logistical, financial, and scheduling coordination, including assistance with travel and lodging for patients and companions, 7 days a week. Our accreditation as an ASF requires a rigorous inspection that commits us to having excellent patient care, commendable safety records, continually educated staff, hospital grade medical equipment and high standard policies and procedures. PWC is an accredited member of the National Abortion Federation and a member of the Abortion Care Network as well as the training site for many nationally recognized medical institutions.

- Our phones are answered from 7:30am - 6:00pm Monday through Thursday.

Parental Consent
This state requires you to get permission from one parent to have an abortion if you're under 18 years old. Please call to speak to our staff about the steps you need to take to get permission.
Judicial Bypass
You may be able to get a judge's permission to have an abortion without involving your parents. Your local Planned Parenthood health center can help you with that. You can also get support from the Judicial Bypass Helpline.
