Abortion Services and Support: MSI Reproductive Choices UK and South Africa
Your Local Abortion Clinics in London
MSI Reproductive Choices UK provide NHS-funded abortions through our network of local clinics in London. We specialise in treatment, advice & support for people considering abortion. At MSI UK, we offer both medical and surgical abortion care. You don’t need a GP referral to access NHS-funded care because 98% of MSI Reproductive Choices abortions in the UK are funded by the NHS, meaning there will be no cost to you for your abortion.
Medical Abortion (The Abortion Pill)
A medical abortion involves taking two types of medication (mifepristone and misoprostol) at two different times to end a pregnancy. At MSI Reproductive Choices, medical abortion is available up to 9 weeks + 6 days of pregnancy. If you meet safety criteria to allow for medical abortion without a scan, the abortion medication can either be collected by you from a clinic or posted to your home address after your phone or face-to-face consultation appointment.
Following your consultation, your Medical Abortion Pack will contain:
- Both sets of abortion pills
- One box containing codeine tablets (unless opted out/medically unsuitable)
- One pregnancy test (designed to check whether the abortion has been successful)
- An STI (Sexually transmitted Infection) screening kit
- Contraceptive pills (if requested)
Surgical Abortion Services
A surgical abortion is a safe and simple procedure used to end a pregnancy, and involves the pregnancy being removed vaginally by an experienced doctor either by using suction or specialised instruments. At MSI UK, a surgical abortion is available up to 23 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy. For surgical abortion services, we have clinics in South London (Brixton) and West London (Ealing).
