Dubai Health Authority Medical Fitness Services and New Bur Dubai Centre
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has opened a new medical fitness centre in Bur Dubai. Located in Central Mall, next to Sharaf DG Metro Station (Exit 4), Old Musalla Tower in Bur Dubai, the centre is open from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30 to 14:30. With the opening of this centre, the DHA now has 17 medical fitness centres across the Emirate for issuance and renewal of visas. Currently the centre has a capacity to serve up to 500 patients per day and the capacity as well as timings can be increased based on demand.

Processing Options and Service Fees
The centre provides various time frames for receiving the test results as per the customer’s convenience. Our VIP and VVIP facilities, complete with separate lounges for male and female clients, guarantee swift and discreet service.

Note: Token will close 30 minutes before the closing time. With results conveniently delivered via SMS or email, visa medical tests typically yield results within 48 hours, while standard tests are available within 24 hours.
Occupational Health Card (OHC) Requirements
For various businesses like restaurants, cafeterias, and more, an Occupational Health Card (OHC) is essential, issued by the Dubai Health (DH). New employees must apply for the OHC within 30 days of arrival or status change. If seeking OHC after this period, a Visa Medical Certificate of Fitness is required, unless the visa is already stamped. For the below six groups, HBV vaccination is required and will be invoiced individually at a rate of AED 50:
- Nanny
- Housemaids and other comparable occupations.
- Supervisors at the nursery and kindergarten.
- Employees in hair salons, beauty salons, and health clubs.
- Food handlers, processors, and agencies in charge of food safety.
- Cafeteria and restaurant employees.
Required Documents and Important Instructions
Essential guidelines and requirements for obtaining medical fitness certificates from DHA include the following documents:
- Passport and Visa
- Original passport / clear passport copy/identity card with reference number (mandatory)
- Permission copy of residence
- Emirates ID (optional)
- Presently active telephone number
Flashpoints to remember:
- Please use a recent, clear personal photo with a white backdrop no older than three months.
- Please wear a cotton shirt with no buttons or graphics to speed up the X-ray procedure for the male category.
- From the date of issue, this Medical Fitness certificate can be used for three (3) months.
- Physical presence of the applicant is required (If your visa status changes, you must fill out a Change of Status form).
- Please return to the medical fitness division if you have yet to receive your MF accreditation within five working days.
