Comprehensive Care and Resources for Unplanned Pregnancies
The Pregnancy Support Center is a non-profit ministry dedicated to providing counseling, support, and education to single women facing an unplanned pregnancy. We envision a community where every life has value and no one faces pregnancy or parenting alone. Our programs and services are free, confidential, and are offered in a safe and non-judgmental environment regardless of age, race, income, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability or other circumstances.
Our Mission and Approach
PSC is a place for them to come to find support, healing, and restoration when they have nowhere else to go, walking with them as they process a difficult major life decision. The Walker Area Pregnancy Support Center has been serving our community since 2010 with compassionate, life-affirming care. We walk alongside women and men in the midst of unplanned pregnancies, offering truth, hope, and encouragement every step of the way. No matter your age, background, or circumstances—you are welcome here.
Available Services and Practical Support
We are often the first step in a woman navigating her pregnancy decision. Our services include medically accurate information about pregnancy, birth control, and abortion, as well as caring support for those healing after abortion. Our trained client advocates will meet with you and help you sift through the information so you can make a decision that you will be comfortable with, knowing you’ve considered all your options.
Key support offerings include:
- Free Peer Counseling: We have trained client advocates that can help walk you through many different programs to offer hope and healing.
- Material Resources: We provide practical help for parents through resources and baby essentials, including maternity and baby clothes and supplies.
- Housing and Financial Aid: Your gift supports courageous moms who choose life for their babies in the midst of seemingly impossible circumstances, including free housing and financial support.
- Prenatal Care: Services include prenatal visits to ensure the health of both mother and baby.
Specialized Programs for Men and Families
Understanding your role and responsibility is critical. That’s why we have male mentors and programs designed specifically to help men understand your choices and next steps. We also provide education and ongoing, compassionate support before, during and after pregnancy. This includes specific programs such as the BridgeWay Housing Program and the Care Closet.
Post-Abortion Healing
The Olds and Area Pregnancy Support Centre is here to provide care for those experiencing unexpected pregnancy, pregnancy related loss, and sexual trauma. We provide caring support for those healing after abortion, including Post Abortion Grief Support. "It was such a hard decision to make, and I felt no judgment."
