Reproductive Specialists of the Carolinas (RSC) is a boutique fertility practice offering a comprehensive, patient-centered medical approach to those facing reproductive challenges. Located in the heart of Midtown Charlotte, this 11,000-square-foot center offers a blend of hospitality-like patient space and high-tech laboratories and is helping to increase reproductive health treatment opportunities in Charlotte.
Designing a Patient-Centered Experience
A locally owned and operated practice, RSC opened a new, state-of-the-art office and medical lab facility in 2022 that is designed to recreate the traditional patient experience by disrupting the cold and sterile stereotype surrounding modern fertility science. High-tech medical components are met with high-end design elements to achieve a spa-like environment with features including wood grills, comfortable furniture, and warm tones throughout. Furthermore, RSC’s new space was created with the patient journey in mind. To ensure safety and comfort, strict air quality guidelines required products and materials installed in the space to have a VOC content lower than 5mg/L.
Comprehensive Fertility Treatments
Expect a full-range of modern fertility care, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg freezing, intrauterine insemination (IUI), and fertility assessments. The boutique setting is designed with intention and emphasizes the client’s commitment to quality, personalized care, all while the new lab houses some of the most innovative technology available for IVF treatment. A Design-Build Partnership for Success
Through an extensive design-build partnership, this new space truly merges the benefits of small, personalized care a boutique practice offers with the advanced offerings of a larger facility. Design, engineering, and construction partners worked hand-in-hand with the owner to create a “patient-centered” experience that would begin the moment guests enter the practice and one that would be adaptable to meet patients’ varying needs.
