Comprehensive Sexual Health Services in Birmingham
Welcome to King’s Pharmacy Sexual Health Clinic in Birmingham, your trusted destination for comprehensive sexual health services. We understand that sexual health is a vital component of overall well-being, and we are dedicated to providing a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where individuals can access the care they need. Our range of services is designed to address various aspects of sexual health, promoting responsible practices and empowering individuals to take control of their well-being.
The Umbrella Service Model
Umbrella: an innovative integrated sexual health service in Birmingham, UK, was launched in August 2015. The commissioners' primary focus was to integrate the disparate services managed by different trusts and other associated providers within the region and to bring them under one contract. Umbrella aspires to be the largest integrated sexual health and contraception service in the world. This service focuses on prevention rather than treatment, helping to educate, empower and engage service users.
As part of this initiative, Umbrella is in charge of a wide range of sexual health services in dedicated clinics, including the Boots store in Mell Square, Solihull, and Chelmsley Wood Primary Care Centre. The services include advice and information on all sexual health matters including contraception, free condoms, STI and HIV screening and treatment for STIs.
Essential Clinic Services
Free Condoms and Prevention
At King’s Pharmacy Sexual Health Clinic, we are committed to promoting safe and responsible sexual practices. We offer free condoms to ensure that individuals have easy access to this crucial form of protection. Condoms are an effective barrier method that not only helps prevent unwanted pregnancies but also provides protection against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Emergency Hormonal Contraception
Unforeseen circumstances can occur, and we understand the need for prompt and confidential support. Our clinic offers emergency hormonal contraception, commonly known as the “morning-after pill.” This form of contraception can be used within a specific timeframe after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure to help prevent unplanned pregnancies.
Personalised Family Planning
King’s Pharmacy Sexual Health Clinic offers the contraceptive pill, providing individuals with a convenient and effective way to manage their family planning needs. For individuals seeking long-acting contraception, we also offer contraceptive injections. These injections provide a highly effective and discreet form of contraception.

Chlamydia Treatment and STI Management
Sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia, require timely diagnosis and treatment. Chlamydia is one of the most common STIs and often displays no noticeable symptoms, making it essential to get tested regularly. Our professional staff can conduct discreet testing, and if necessary, provide appropriate treatment options to address chlamydia effectively.
Support for the LGBTQ+ Community
Our sexual health services are free, confidential and non-judgemental. We deliver our services professionally and sensitively, and we tailor them to be comfortable and appropriate for LGBTQ+ people. Birmingham LGBT provides a vibrant, diverse environment in which individuals can realise their full potential and have equal access to what the city has to offer. You can find out about different HIV prevention options and how to access them, as well as information about chemsex and how to stay safe.
