Specialist Women’s Health and Sexual Health Services in Edinburgh and the Lothians
I’m excited to share that The Coil Clinic is now The Women’s Clinic – a name that better reflects who we are, what we do and where we’re heading. The Women’s Clinic is now Edinburgh’s first private clinic dedicated entirely to women’s hormonal and reproductive health. I originally founded the clinic to offer fast, specialist access to contraception – without the long NHS waiting lists or rushed appointments. But it quickly became clear that the women I was seeing needed more.
Private Care at The Women’s Clinic
We’ve evolved to offer broader, specialist support across every stage of a woman’s hormonal and reproductive health journey. This clinic is about giving women the time, expertise, and answers they deserve, in a space where they feel genuinely heard and supported. Dr Catherine Smith is a Women's Health Expert and Registered BMS Menopause Specialist with over 20 years of clinical experience in contraception and menopause care. She holds the British Menopause Society Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care and is a certified member of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.
