Montgomery Regional Medical Campus: Education and Healthcare
The Montgomery Regional Medical Campus excels at our mission of improving primary care and community health in a region marked by health disparities and in training the next generation of physicians to care for Alabama’s citizens. A collaborative partnership between UAB, the city of Montgomery and Baptist Health, we aim to help stem a shortage of physicians in underserved rural areas across the state and improve access to health care in central Alabama.

MD Program
During their clinical experience, our students can expect a wide variety of hospital and community-based training, as well as clinical opportunities unique only to Montgomery.

Comprehensive Patient Care Services
The quality health care patients expect from UAB can be found in the River Region. We are dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of medical problems, with an emphasis on caring for the whole patient.
UAB Montgomery Internal Medicine, located in the Morrow Medical Tower at Baptist Medical Center, offers comprehensive primary care for adults in internal medicine, hematology and infectious diseases. At the new UAB Multispecialty Clinic at Baptist Medical Center South, we offer patients advanced care in specialties including:
- Endocrinology and diabetes
- Urology
- Rheumatology
- Gastroenterology
- Breast health
- Cardiothoracic surgery
Additionally, our UAB Selma Family Medicine clinic is the primary clinic for the UAB Health System in rural central Alabama, catering to patients of all ages.
Psychiatric Services
The UAB Center for Psychiatric Medicine (CPM) is committed to providing the highest quality services and treatments for adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and families. The CPM offers services in the areas of neuropsychiatry, psychiatry, psychotherapy, and addiction recovery.
Services Provided:
- Acute adolescent inpatient psychiatry services
- Acute geriatric inpatient psychiatry services
- Acute adult inpatient psychiatry services
- Adult psychiatric intensive care services
- Recovery Stabilization Unit
- Partial hospitalization program
- Intensive outpatient program
Evaluations and treatment are provided by a highly qualified and diverse care team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and occupational, recreational, and music therapists.
Orthopaedics Urgent Care
UAB Medicine’s Orthopaedics Urgent Care Clinic provides fast and convenient urgent care for a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. It offers convenient access to both UAB Medicine physicians and Advanced Practice Providers when you need to see a provider quickly for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. We offer walk-in appointments seven days a week, with lab and x-ray services available onsite.
