WHS also hosts seasonal events such as the Annual Pledge-A-Picketer campaign. Let's show anti-abortion extremists WE REFUSE TO BE HARASSED!
Advocacy and Reproductive Justice
WHS stands up for Abortion Justice! WHS Chico staff came together on the National Day of Action, the “Bigger Than Roe” protest in Downtown Chico. WHS joined with community partners Women’s March Chico, Reproductive Justice Coalition, WORD—Women On Reproductive Defense, Indigenous Support Collaborative NorCal, and more to fight for reproductive rights. Additionally, our Redding clinic joins community partners, Shasta Abortion Coalition, Redding Women’s March, and Northstate Women’s Health Network in the National Day of Action.
We also focus on policy priorities. First, we’d like to introduce you all to SB 743, the Freedom of Choice in Family Planning Act. SB 743 (Hernandez) would ensure that Medi-Cal managed care enrollees can receive family planning services from their qualified providers. We also believe Reproductive Rights are Immigrant Rights! WHS continues to support our Hispanic Community and all Latinx folks.
