The Jean & David Blechman Center for Women’s Specialty Care and Preventive Cardiology offers a host of clinical services, screenings and risk assessments with referrals to appropriate specialists. Its women’s healthcare services are led by Baptist Health Medical Group physicians specializing in breast surgery, primary care, breast health, preventive cardiology and urogynecology. Along with a team of clinical support practitioners, each of these highly respected clinicians has a special interest and expertise in caring for women.

Breast Health and Cancer Prevention

Your breast cancer risk doesn’t have to be a guessing game. Our High-risk Breast Specialists, part of The Schmidt Family Center for Breast Care, offer breast cancer risk assessments and individualized prevention and detection plans. To further assist in early detection, Mobile Mammography is available via our MammoVan, which brings breast cancer screening and education to you. This convenient service travels throughout South Florida to offer 3D mammograms — the same type of advanced breast imaging you can get in a hospital or clinic.

At Baptist Health, we also offer genetic screening to help you understand your risks, especially for common cancers like breast and colorectal. Certain mutations in your genes can increase your chances for developing cancer, and these tests can provide early detection so you can seek treatment when your chances of survival are highest.
